Maslen Estate Agents is the data controller and responsible for this website.

Maslen Companies

Where you provide your personal data to a Maslen Company but require services from a different Maslen Company, your personal data may be shared between those Maslen Companies.

Special Category Data and Criminal Convictions 

We do not routinely collect special category data or information in relation to criminal convictions, however, depending on the services we are to provide to you, we may need to collect this information. For example, Maslen Estate Agents may process data in relation to health or medical conditions to ensure that access requirements when viewing a property are met or where we are assisting with applications for insurances. Maslen Estate Agents or Maslen Letting Agents may need to process criminal records when providing letting services or where assisting with applications. Where we process special category data and/or criminal records we do so in accordance with Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR 2018. 

If you fail to provide personal data

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with services). Each Maslen Company has put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, each Maslen Company will limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

Each Maslen Company has put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Each Maslen Company will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements.
