Halloween and bonfire night have been and gone, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing left to do this Autumn. From glowing gardens to epic orchestras, here’s your guide to events in Brighton & Hove this Autumn.
The Brighton Museum & Art Gallery will be opening its doors this November to a new type of guest - babies and toddlers aged 0-18 months. This stimulating experience will be a great way to play and learn together, nurturing your child’s interests and confidence.
The Brighton Christmas Market in Jubilee Square opens on the 17th of November this year. With 22 stalls, Santa’s post box, free photos on Santa’s sleigh and festive street food and drink, it’s a great evening out for the whole family.
Drusillas will be switching on their Winter Wonderland Illuminations on the 18th of November, and from then on there’ll be a daily light show at 4.30pm. Look out for magical creatures in their kingdom of ice, all set to festive music.
Held in Wakehurst’s beautiful botanic gardens and woodlands, the Glow Wild winter lantern festival is a magical experience for the whole family. See the fantastic forest, 16th century house and pond sparkle as they’re lit up with lanterns, lights and visual effects.
On the 3rd of December the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing at the Brighton Dome - featuring three great romantic composers. Opening with Elgar’s epic concert overture In the South, a musical evocation of a family holiday, it’ll be a musical night not to be missed.
Car owners and enthusiasts, this one is for you. This classic car show is held at Proud Country House in Stanmer Park on Sunday 3rd December, and is a family-friendly event. Admire the cars, take a stroll around the beautiful grounds and perhaps enjoy a roast in Proud Country House’s new restaurant, Source.
