Owners Opinion
''We bought our flat 6 years ago, when having looked at another flat for sale on the same street, Maslen Estate Agents showed us around this one which had just gone onto the market. As it is an extended flat we were amazed at the tardis-like feel to this particular property... it just seemed to go on forever! We were sold and made an offer the same day!

What initially drew us to the property has helped make it a really enjoyable 6 years in Sandown Road. From cozy winter evenings in front of the real wood fire (the exposed brick fireplace was another feature that we loved!), to long summer evenings in the sociable garden (west facing so it does get loads of sun), it is a real year-round flat with a versatile, social living space.

We've really cared for the property and have made lots of improvements over the past few years, including a brand new bathroom and a new boiler system. We also renewed the lease in 2008 and so the flat also has the benefit of a really long lease - 102 years!

Now we've decided it is time to move on, but we love Sandown Road and the Hartington Road area so much (the friendly spacious sunny streets with plenty of parking but only a short walk into the centre of the city, the Hanover pubs on the doorstep, the shops and facilities of Lewes Road... the view of the Downs when you step out of the front door on a sunny morning...) that we're going to stay within the local area!''
