Owner's Opinion
''I bought the house nearly 10 years ago - I had a gut feeling as soon as I saw it and even though it was a wreck I knew it had great potential. My instincts were right and overall the house has moved on a long way and is now spacious and bright with a warm homely feel.

I have created window space especially in the utility room, and have replaced all the windows and doors. A top of the range combination boiler has been fitted making the house feel very cosy. The room that still has a great deal of potential is the loft space, which has been completely boarded and fitted with lighting and electrics; half of this space also has a ceiling.

I personally love the great sociable open plan dinning room and sitting room, which has a gorgeous ornate cast iron fireplace which I'll be sad to leave. With a simple move of a sofa I can create a cosy defined sitting room and dining space. My other favourite is the bathroom; it is unusually large for Brighton terraced houses and has a separate bath and shower cubicle and is located upstairs which again I found quite hard to find in these centrally located houses.

One of the special things about these houses is the large back garden spaces, which again are quite hard to find in central Brighton. I find this space very peaceful especially at night and it is a great area in which to unwind. The garden has just started to be landscaped with a Japanese theme in mind but can be someone's blank canvass.

The location of this house is superb, I couldn't have hoped for better. It is on a very quiet road and yet is close to all the hustle and bustle of central town. There is no restricted parking and I can always park near the house, if not in front of it. The house location is a 20-30 minute walk or a 10 minute bus ride to Brighton station/ town/beach. It is also 10 minute drive to Brighton Marina. By taxi from town/station is just over a £5 fare. The bus service is very reliable and frequent on the Lewes Road and the bus stop is only a couple of minutes walk away. A huge selling point to me was also the close proximity of the house not only to the station/ town and marina but also to a large number of amenities which include large Sainsbury, local shops and take aways, 24hr garage, local rubbish tip, pubs, sports centres and there is a school and children's playground within very easy walking distance. The Brighton racecourse and 2 large parks, (Stanmer and Wild Park) are 5-10 minutes drive away and it does not take long to enter the beauty and peacefulness of the South Downs.

I've had a truly fantastic time in this house and will genuinely be reluctant to leave and will miss among other things the light streaming into the front sitting room and watching the sun set from my sofa. If a new chapter of my life had not presented itself I would certainly be here for many more years to come.''
