David Maslen M.N.A.E.A. - Director

David is the driving force behind Maslen Estate Agents and is passionate about spearheading an independent agency that champions innovation and customer service. Having worked for one of the largest corporate agencies in the country, he established Maslen Estate Agents in 1999 with a vision of an organisation ethos of honesty and integrity, where the customer always comes first.

With an unrivalled knowledge of the local housing market, David has successfully grown the business with four branches across the city.  He is still hands on and takes an active role in his staff's development to ensure standards are upheld. David is also treasurer of a local charity in Woodingdean, The Nautical Training Corps TS Valiant.

Andrew Mercer M.N.A.E.A. - Senior Negotiator

Andrew has been with Maslen Estate Agents since leaving school in 2004. He has consistently progressed, proving himself a conscientious and capable member of the team. Andrew is a qualified member of the National Association of Estate Agents having passed his technical exams in 2007, as well as his NVQ level 3.

His responsibilities include property valuations, conducting viewings, supporting buyers and sellers and progressing sales with his exceptional negotiation skills. He has an excellent memory for people and property details and prides himself on exemplary service.

In October 2011 Andrew was promoted to Senior Negotiator.

Mark Bamber - Senior Negotiator

David Greenwood - Junior Negotiator

David joined the team as a Junior Negotiator in October 2011, having started in estate agency elsewhere a year earlier. His responsibilities include registering potential buyers, handling enquiries and conducting viewings.

He is hard-working and keen to further develop his career in the property industry. David has a strong interest in property and investment and is benefitting from working with an experienced team.

Josh Boots - Trainee Negotiator

Joshua is based in the Lewes Road branch where he handles enquiries, registers new clients and books viewings to support his senior colleagues. He has always had an interest in property and joined Maslen Estate Agents in May 2011 to pursue his chosen career in estate agency.

As part of this, Maslen Estate Agent run an intensive in-house training programme for all staff and Joshua is working towards NAEA qualifications and membership.

Janette Burchett M.N.A.E.A. - Senior Office co-ordinator

With a long-standing interest in property, Janette has been with Maslen Estate Agents since March 2004. As our most experienced Office Co-ordinator with over fifteen years industry experience, she is responsible for training all new administrative staff and enjoys providing ongoing guidance to the other Office Co-ordinators in the company. She also ensures the smooth-running of the Lewes Road office and provides essential secretarial support to David and the sales team. She achieved her National Association of Estate Agents Technical Award in October 2009.

Janette was promoted to Senior Office Co-ordinator in October 2011

Graham Griffin CeMAP - Independent Mortgage Advisor

Graham is responsible for delivering independent mortgage advice to clients across our four city branches. Joining the Company in September 2009 and with over 30 years experience in financial services, he still takes real care and joy in finding people the right mortgages, life cover and buildings and contents insurance. He prides himself on his passion, professionalism and building long-term relationships with his clients. Graham has been CeMap qualified for over 10 years.

Sam Neal - Apprentice

Sam joined Maslen Estate Agents in June 2011 as an apprentice. As his first step on the ladder, Sam’s role is primarily to provide support with administration in the Lewes Road office, with tasks including filing, helping maintain property lists and learning how the office runs. As part of his apprenticeship he is studying towards an NVQ Level 2 in Property Services.

Estate agency appealed to Sam as he’s always been interested in property, plus likes the idea of being a part of helping people find their dream home.
